The Montana State University-Northern football team bounced back in a big way Saturday afternoon. On the road in Billings, the Lights recovered from last week's tough loss to Eastern Oregon by upending nationally-ranked Rocky Mountain College 35-32. The Lights led 21-14 at halftime and 28-21 in the third quarter. MSU-N tacked on another score to go up 35-21, their biggest lead of the day. Then, Northern's defense held off the talented Bears for the win.
MSU-N improved to 3-1 on the season, and it was the Lights first win over a ranked opponent in three years. Northern is back on the road next Saturday at Carroll College.
