June Darlene Jarvis, 53, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Northern Montana Hospital from complications with her cancer.
Cremation has taken place and her memorial service was held 2 p. m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the New Hope Pentecostal Church at 3rd Street and 6th Avenue in Havre, with Marvin Russette officiating. Memorials in June’s honor may be made to a memorial of one’s choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
June was born Feb. 21, 1958, in Helena, Mont., to William and Alice (Culver) Jarvis. She was raised in the Missoula area and attended Great Falls High School graduating in 1976. She moved to Havre in the early '80s and began working at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd as a CNA.
She worked for the Lutheran Home, which then became Northern Montana Care Center, for more than 17 years. She took pride in her work and enjoyed helping others. June was a very generous person who always thought of others before herself. She helped many people out with transportation and would always help others less fortunate than herself.
June enjoyed visiting with people and going to the Bear's Paw Mountains. Her greatest love was for her eight precious grandchildren. In her spare time, June enjoyed reading. She really enjoyed participating with Senior Connections and going on the trips they had.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers Wade and William Jarvis; and sisters Mary Ann Jarvis, Billie Jean Jarvis, Alice Rodriguez and Lena Jarvis.
June is survived by her children, Richard (Tamecia) Jarvis of Havre, Anita (Nathan) Thompson of Kansas and Delcy Russette of Billings, Mont. ; eight grandchildren, James Wolery, Brianna Hawley, Trinity Wolery, Kyanna Jarvis, Catrice Bradford, Danika Thompson, Amaya Jarvis and Carter Thompson; her lifelong companion, Paul Russette Sr. ; her brothers Sonny Jarvis of Missoula, Mont., and Alex Jarvis of Florida; and sisters Jean Ann (Curby) Dennis of Great Falls, Mont., and Joan (Joel) Reagor of Miles City, Mont.
