The Montana State University-Northern women's basketball team is off to 5-0 start, but the Skylights had to fight hard to get there Thursday night. Northern outlasted the University of Lethbridge 54-51 at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse, the second time in a week MSU-N has beaten the Pronghorns. The Skylights led 33-28 at halftime, but Lethbridge fought back and briefly took the lead with under 10 minutes to play. Northern held on down the stretch.

Jordan Bruursema scored a game-high 25 points to lead the short-handed Skylights. Nikki Tresch added 14 point, while freshman Rachelle Bennett had seven rebounds.
