For the second straight year, Big Sandy's run in the Class C Six-Man playoffs ended at the hands of Savage. On Saturday in Savage, the second-ranked Warriors took down the third-ranked Pioneers 65-41 in a Class C semifinal game. Savage beat the Pioneers in the semis last November in Big Sandy. Savage will move on to face Denton for the seocnd straight year in the Six-Man state championship game next Saturday. The Pioneers' season ended with a 9-2 record.
