The North Star advanced to Thursday's semifinal round of the District 9C girls basketball tournament with a 70-47 win over the Hays-Lodge Pole Thunderbirds Wednesday afternoon at the Havre High gymnasium. The Knights won their first-round 9C tournament game behind 28 points from Lisa Carlon. North Star moves on to face Box Elder at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon. HLP will play in a loser-out contest Friday at 4:30 p.m.
