Great Northern Fair Board members welcomed two new people to the board during its monthly meeting Tuesday at the Hill County Courthouse in Havre.
Chad Murnin of Independence Bank and Havre Public Schools business manager Mike Arnold attended their first meeting after taking the place of outgoing board members Peggy Nivens and Tom Farnham.
Both Arnold and Murnin said they have enjoyed the fair since coming to Havre and that they wanted to participate in bringing it to the county each year.
Board members Missy Boucher, Alma Seidel, Andy Owens and Bert Corcoran, fairground manager Tim Solomon and fair administrative assistant Linda Ferguson all introduced themselves to the new board members and explained the function of the board in administering the Great Northern Fair each summer.
Board member Lynn Dolphay was out of town and could not attend the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, Corcoran was elected president and Seidel elected vice president, the sole nominations for the positions.
In the only non-unanimous votes of the meeting, Corcoran and Seidel jokingly cast the only votes against their own elections.
