The MSU-Northern women's basketball team put up a good fight for the second straight Saturday night in Lewiston, Idaho. But once again, the Lewis-Clark State Warriors were too tough at home. On Saturday night, the No. 13 Warriors defeated the Skylights 60-49 in the Frontier Conference semifinals. LCSC advanced to the Frontier title game where it will travel to Salt Lake to take on top-seeded Westminster on Tuesday night.
The loss was likely Northern's last game of the season, though the Skylights will anxiously await the announcement of the NAIA national tournament field on Wednesday afternoon. The Skylights finished the season with a 21-9 record and received one vote in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll, which places them as a long shot to receive an at-large berth to next week's national tourney in Jackson, Tenn.
