The Havre Babe Ruth 15-year-old all-star team has had a busy summer.
And now the squad will seek a state championship starting Thursday morning in Kalispell at the 2012 Montana/Alberta Babe Ruth State Tournament.
Havre beings pool play at 9 a.m. Thursday in Kalispell, in a tournament which is scheduled to run through Sunday afternoon.
The Havre team played four district games against Conrad last weekend, and will go in as the No. 2 seed from the Hi-Line district.
The Havre team, coached by Matt Jensen, also played two more warm-up games against Glasgow on Monday night. Havre started the summer by winning a wood bat only tournament in Belgrade late last month, then finished second in the prestigious Firecracker Tournament in Kalispell at the beginning of July. In all, Havre won 10 of its first 11 games as an all-star team.
