The Montana State University-Northern men's basketball team made short work of the Lethbridge Pronghorns in their hime debut Friday night. The Skylights however, ran into some trouble.

The 21st-ranked Northern men rolled to an 86-36 win over the Pronghorns Friday night at the Armory Gymnasium. The game was never close as MSU-N 42-11 at halftime and tacked on another 44 points in the second half. Jesse Vaughan and Nilson Santana each scored 12 points, while Dontae Clark added 11, and 12 different Lights scored in the game.

Northern improved to 6-0 on the season and will be back at home next Saturday night to face Warner-Pacific.

The Skylights' home opener Friday night didn't go as well. MSU-N fell to Lethbridge 66-61 in a game in which the Skylights went 7of-29 from the 3-point-line and shot just 31 percent from the field. Nikki Tresch scored 20 points in the loss, as MSU-N fell to 2-1 on the season.

The Skylights next play at home on Nov. 9 against Culver-Stockton.
