RICHARD SCHWARTZ
Richard LeRoy Schwartz, 58, died Thursday, April 29, 1999, of cancer.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy.
Schwartz was born March 24, 1941, in Havre to Robert D. and Evelyn Schwartz . He was a graduate of Big Sandy High School and Northern Montana College.
In 1962, he married Margarette Filicetti. They were later divorced.
Schwartz taught and coached in Chinook and Brady High Schools. In 1969, he moved to Phoenix, Ariz. He worked in education programs for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and later as business manager for the Nadaberg School District.
He married Charlene Edwards in 1999.
He enjoyed singing, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene; his mother, Evelyn of Big Sandy; sons, Sam Burton, Joseph and Jon Schwartz, all of Phoenix; brothers, Bob Jr. and Bruce of Helena, and Ralph of New Hope, Minn.; a sister, Sondra Hanson of Missoula; an uncle, Jim Hertsgaard of Havre; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donors choice.
