ELIZABETH FITZSIMMONS
HARLEM Elizabeth Lib Fitzsimmons, 91, died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at a Harlem care center of natural causes.
Memorial grave side services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Harlem Cemetery.
Fitzsimmons was born Oct. 15, 1907, in Harlem, to John and Sarah (Gray) Gloyne. She was raised and attended schools in Harlem graduating from Harlem High School in 1926.
On Dec. 24, 1932, she married George Fitzsimmons in Lohman. She was employed as a clerk for the Harlem School District for a number of years. She was also employed for many years at Frips Cafe and later Skogmos and Family West.
She was a charter member of the Harlem Saddle Club and enjoyed bowling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1995, six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include sons, Burton Fitzsimmons of Lytle, Texas, and George Fitzsimmons of Victor, Texas; daughters, Betty Gilbert of Chester and Mary Brewster of Wasilla, Ark.; a brother, Bert Gloyne of Tacoma, Wash., ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
