GEORGE SWAN
George R. Swan, 71, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, at a Big Sandy care center of natural causes.
Wake services will be Thursday and Friday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Denny Family Cemetery at Rocky Boy.
Swan was born July 1, 1927, at Lewistown to Robert and Adeline (Swan) Swan. He attended school in Lewistown, Rocky Boy and Box Elder.
On Nov. 30, 1960, he married Caroline Denny in Havre. The couple later divorced.
He was the former owner/operator of the Co-ed Beauty Shop and the Park Hotel Beauty Shop in Havre.
Swan was a WWII Veteran and received many medals. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the V.F.W. and St. Judes Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Martin of Havre and Rhonda Rodiguez of Blackfoot, Idaho; son, Robin Jay Swan of Rocky Boy; sisters, Irene Belcourt of Box Elder and Dorothy Hatleberg of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Walter Swan of Lewistown and Charlie Swan of Box Elder; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
