GERALD LEON HOLMAN

Gerald Leon Holman, 82, died May 26, 1999, at Northern Montana Hospital due to natural causes.

Mr. Holman was born on November 4, 1917, in Dodson to Charles and Edna (Gill) Holman. He attended schools in Dodson and graduated from Malta High School. Gerald served during WWII in the Air Force. After the war, he moved to Chinook and started ranching with his father. Gerald married Isabel (Pat) McArthur on January 2, 1949 in Chinook. They had six children. Holman continued ranching until moving to Chinook in 1980.

Gerald was an avid golfer and loved spending his time at the Chinook Golf Course.. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool and the Senior Citizens Center. He was a member of the Eagles and also an Elder at the Presbyterian Church for three terms.

Holman is survived by his wife, Pat, of Chinook; five daughters, Marion Medina of Queens Creek, AZ.; Dale Vinson of Seattle, WA; Susan Young of Shepherd; Anita Sather of Fairfield, CA.; Donna Cross of Olathe, KS.; one son, Charles Holman of Kalamazoo, MI.; brother Robert Holman of Chinook; two sisters, Nelda Smith of Spokane and Joyce Kovach of Wayne, PA.; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and one sister, Pauline Ereaux.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church of Chinook. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook. Memorials may be given to the gift of life in Great Falls, Presbyterian Church of Chinook, or to ones choice.
