A Rocky Boy man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle rollover on Duck Creek Road on Rocky Boys Indian Reservation Monday afternoon.

A Benefis East spokesman said this morning that Colbert Johnson, 20, was listed in fair condition in the hospitals fourth floor intensive care unit.

Johnson reportedly told family and friends that he lost control of his vehicle on the Centennial Pass at about 2 p.m. Monday. He said he lay at the scene for about three hours before the accident was discovered. Rocky Boy ambulance responded at about 5 p.m. and transported him to Northern Montana Hospital, Johnson said.

A Northern Montana Hospital spokeswoman said Johnson was brought in to hospital by ambulance at about 5:30 p.m. Monday. She said he was flown out on Mercy Flight to Benefis East in Great Falls later that evening.

Johnson is the son of Liz Yellowtail and Dale Johnson Sr., both of Rocky Boy.
