BIG SANDY Dewey Dale McCoig, 79, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at his residence of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy. Burial will follow at the Big Sandy Cemetery with Military graveside honors.
McCoig was born Nov. 7, 1919, at Essex, Co. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Aleutians Islands for 29 months.
On Dec. 22, 1960, he married Mildred Rhoades in Havre. The couple resided in Havre for many years. They were residents of Big Sady for the past two years.
McCoig was owner and operator of a fencing business. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, rodeo riding and spending time with his wife. He was baptized on June 17, 1999, into the Christ Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Olden.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred McCoig of Big Sandy; a brother, Leslie McCoig of Aurora, Miss.; a sister, Louise Parker of Indianapolis, Indiana; one niece and two nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Chouteau County Hospice Program, The Gift of Life or donors choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
