Two Havre Fire Department fire trucks responded to a grass fire in Herrons Park about five miles southwest of Havre at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Area residents used garden hoses to help contain the fire that burned about an acre in a residential neighborhood adjacent to U.S. Highway 87.
A 45-foot storage trailer and its contents sustained some damage. Several vehicles in the same yard appeared to escape serious damage, but one snowmobile appeared to sustain extensive damage.
Capt. Mike Anderson said the exact cause of the fire is unknown.
