LINCOLN, Neb. James E. Jim Brownson, 78, a former professor at Northern Montana College, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, in Lincoln, Neb.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Fritz Hudson officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until services. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight.
Brownson was born Sept. 30, 1920. He attended school in Lincoln graduating from Lincoln High School in 1939.

Ramona Monie; sons, Elwyn Brownson III, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Richard Brownson of Ketchum, Idaho and Matthew Brownson of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Mary Laine Brownson of Boise, Idaho; step-children, Dr. William Brady, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Scott Brady of Carlisle, Pa. and Colleen K. Brady, of Tampa Fla.; a brother, Edwin Brownson of Shenandoah, Iowa; an aunt, Mildred Brownson of Hickman, Neb.; two grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
