EDWARD FILLER
BELLEVUE, Wash. Edward M. Filler, 68, died July 24, 1999, at a Bellevue hospital.
Memorial Mass was held July 26, at St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue.
Filler was born May 24, 1931, in Havre, to Edward and Florence Filler. He was raised in Havre and graduated from Havre High School and the University of Montana in Missoula. He received his masters degree from the University of Washington. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
On June 6, 1959, he married Faustine Brown. The couple moved to Bellevue in 1962. He was employed as a school teacher and worked with children with learning disabilities for the Bellevue School District for 37 years.
He was active in the Bellevue Education Association and a member of the Samena Club and sold arts and crafts during the summers.
Survivors include his wife, Faustine Filler of Bellevue; a son, Michael Filler of Woodinville; daughter, Danielle Filler of Bothell; four brothers, Bill and Dave of Havre and Jim and Tom of Great Falls; and a sister, Mary Guetherman of Great Falls.
