TILLIE SCHABLE
Tillie B. Schable, 100, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at a local care center of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kathy Young officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Schable was born March 7, 1899, in Wheatin, Minn., to Rudolph and Ottilie (Schultz) Beyer. She attended schools in Wheatin, Minn.
In 1919 she married William H. Schable in Wheatin, Minn. The couple moved to Big Stone City, S.D. with the railroad. In 1974 they moved to Havre where he retired from the railroad. He died in 1988. She then moved to the Eagles Manor where she tended the garden area.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and her dogs. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Salvation Army Auxiliary and the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and an infant son, Edward.
Survivors include Elrene Gertson of Havre; two granddaughters, four great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Havre Senior Citizens Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
