On a dusky Thursday evening, the Hi-Line Barrel Racing Association held one of its last regular season meets Aug. 5, at the Waid Arena.
At the competition, Denali Solomon won the open barrels with 17.425 and placed second in the green barrels with 21.326 while Barb Han won the event with a time of 19.908. Han placed second in the novice pole bending with 28.091 behind first place finisher Lisa Johnson who clocked in at 25.263.
Solomon also placed second in the open pole bending with a time of 22.863. Jennifer Leonard won the event at 22.536.
Lynsey Waid won the junior open barrels clocking in at 19.071. Alicia Lairy placed second in 19.681 and she also won the junior pole bending competition in 24.459.
Morgan Darlington won the youth barrels event in 19.976. Darlington also captured the top prize in the youth pole bending making the round in 27.182.
Crystal Kinsella won the amateur barrels in 17.796 while Jessica McIntosh won the novice barrels in 19.545. McIntosh placed third in the novice pole bending with a time of 29.383.
Rachel Gerhart won the junior novice barrels smoking in at 20.875, barely nudging past Mandi Nystrom who had 20.888.
