I will just mention the names of our new teaching staff DaNelle Bakke (Third Grade/Highland Park), Carol Blatter (Special Education/Lincoln McKinley), Kamia Brady (First Grade/Highland Park), Peggy Fink (English/High School), Vicki Hilliard (Multigrade 2-3/Sunnyside), Dustin Kraske (Science/Middle School), Kit McLain (French/High School), Kim Ray (P.E./Lincoln McKinley), Nancy Sparks (Kindergarten/Reading Discovery/Lincoln McKinley), Pam Stenerson (Fifth Grade/Sunnyside), Dustan Toth (3rd Grade/Lincoln McKinley), and June Welch (Kindergarten/Sunnyside). I am enthused to welcome this high quality new group of teachers as they become part of the tradition of excellence that is firmly established in our schools.
Plans for entering
the new Millennium ...
The Havre Board of Trustees have established the direction for the 1999-00 school year by approving the District Vision, Mission and Educational Work Plan. A future feature in the fall Community Ed issue will highlight the District Educational Work Plan. Community members interested in contributing through involvement in the Work Plan should contact my office (265-4356). Thank you to our Trustees for their commitment to our schools and community.
Did you know ...
Student/Parent handbooks came home with students on the first day of school. Parents, please ask your student about the handbooks and spend some time reviewing the information with them. This will help get us off to a good start.
Our maintenance and custodial staff have done an excellent job of completing summer projects and cleaning our facilities. Thank you to our staff who are committed to providing a clean, healthy atmosphere in our schools.
Please be cognizant of back to school time and pay attention to the intersections and streets around our schools. Thanks for your effort to make our school surroundings safe as the school year begins.
Havre Public School Team ...
Our public school Education Team will work together to effectively manage change, take responsibility for doing a good job, and communicate opportunities throughout this school year. We invite the community to join with us in this journey as we promote the school
district theme for 1999-00 Havre Public Schools, entering the new millennium providing excellent opportunities for children!
Thanks for Reading!
