HAROLD M. ELWESS

GREAT FALLS Harold M. Elwess, 50, died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at a Great Falls hospital of a massive heart attack.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church. Cremation will follow the service.

Elwess was born Oct. 25, 1948, at Perham, Minn. He graduated from high school in Perham in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. After serving in the Army he attended a vo-tech school in Detroit Lakes, Minn., from 1971 to 1973.

On May 23, 1970, he married Gloria Giedt.

He began working for Buttreys in Minnesota, then transferred to Williston, N.D. In 1986, he transferred to Havre, and in 1995, to Great Falls. At the time of his death he was the manager of the meat department at the 10th Avenue South Albertsons in Great Falls.

Elwess was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed camping and outdoor activities.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Elwess of Great Falls; daughters, Tanya Malley, Dawn Elwess and Crystal Elwess of Great Falls; sisters, Yvonne Rybak of Soldotna, Alaska, and Mary Laney of Fergus Falls, Minn.
