CHESTER C. DAHLQUEST
CHINOOK Chester C. Dahlquest, 88, a long time Blaine County farmer, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at a Chinook care center of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in the American Lutheran Church with burial following at Wing Cemetery.
Dahlquest was born May 2, 1911, to Charles and Elenora (Elfstrom) Dahlquest in Bloomington, Ill. He moved with his family to Hogeland in 1914. He attended Violet Country School. He worked for Blaine County as a road operator keeping the roads clear and safe. After the death of his parents he continued to operate the family farm until 1973.
On Dec. 27, 1975, he married Alice Wester Sanguins in Great Falls. The couple resided in Chinook.
He enjoyed working on cars, taking care of farm machinery and traveling. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Chinook, the Moose Lodge in Great Falls, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Chinook.
Survivors include his wife, Alice of Chinook; sisters, Caroline Hollaway of Billings and Adeline Johnson of Hogeland; two step-daughters; one stepson; six step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
