LORENE KIRKALDIE

FORT BELKNAP Funeral services will be held for Lorene Kirkaldie 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Harlem High School gymnasium with burial following in the Harlem Cemetery.

Kirkaldie was born June 6, 1928, in Hinsdale, to Bruce A. and Mabel L. (Copenhaver) Tanner. She attended school in Hinsdale and graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1946. She attending nursing school in Havre and graduated from nursing in 1949. She went to work for the Ft. Belknap Hospital and worked there until 1962.

On June 1, 1951, she married Frank B. Kirkaldie in Whitefish. The couple worked together in the family business, The Highway Grocery Store at Ft. Belknap.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed genealogy, crocheting, making afghans and other items.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Frank of Ft. Belknap; a daughter, Tina Jones of Billings; a son, Scott Kirkaldie of Sacramento, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
