The Bear Paw Chapter of the American Red Cross came up a little short of its quota during its blood drawing Monday at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church in Havre.
We had 107 people show up, drive chairwoman Karen Golden said. Five people were deferred and 102 donated.
The quota for the drive was 110 units of usable blood.
There were a couple of landmark donations Monday.
Leroy Keller reached 25 gallons, Golden said. Well be giving him a cake next time. And Cal Simons gave 10 gallons. So, theyll both get cakes at our January drawing.
That next blood drawing is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.
The next drawing is Jan. 3, right after the New Year, Golden said, As an afterthought, she added with a chuckle, If we havent been Y2Ked off.
