The Blue Sky Eagles have returned to the top of the heap again this year as they ready to play in the Six-Man State Championship football game Saturday against West Yellowstone.
Also, in eight-man Class C action, the Chester Coyotes are in semifinal action against Denton Saturday at Chester.
Blue Sky got past Geraldine this past weekend but will be on the road to face West Yellowstone.
The Eagles have just one loss this year which came against the Geraldine Tigers in the regular season.
Blue Sky marched past Reed Point in the first round of the playoffs 45-30. The game against Reed Point was on the road.
The Eagles then came home to face Geraldine in a rematch of last year's state championship game. Blue Sky got the win over Geraldine 36-34 after jumping out big.
West Yellowstone and Blue Sky met two years ago in the first round of the six-man playoffs with West Yellowstone collecting a 31-12 win.
Chester goes in this weekend after getting a 43-20 win against Medicine Lake/Froid last weekend. The Coyotes downed Power 42-38 in the first round of the playoffs.
Chester will host Denton this weekend for the right to play in the Class C state title game. Their opponent will be decided in a game between Charlo and Centerville.
Coyotes head coach Bill Schlepp said his team is starting to believe they can make it back to the state title game.
Chester will play at home starting at 1:00 p.m. The Eagles will play in West Yellowstone with the game slated to start at 1:00 p.m.
