Lights dominate Western Wyoming at duel meet

The MSU-Northern Lights, the two-time defending NAIA wrestling champions, are off to a streaking 6-0 start after downing Western Wyoming College 35-6 Thursday at Rock Springs, Wyo.

The only Northern loss came via forfeit at 133 pounds due to the illness of Kurt Lorenz.

At 125 pounds, Abel Valdez scored a 7-4 victory over Anthony Guillen.

Lyle Cronk edged Josh Nacey 13-11 overtime victory at 149 pounds for the Lights.

Other highlights included Dane Jacobsen's win by fall over Marc McIntire in 3:41 at 197 pounds.

In the heavyweight division, Turk Lords won by fall over Doug Shumacker in 1:29.
