A Havre man pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor offenses in 12th Judicial District Court last week.
Brian Francis English, 19, Havre, pleaded guilty last Monday to charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor theft. The charges stemmed from the burglary of a home in the 700 block of Sixth Avenue on Aug. 17, 1999. A loaded pistol was among the items reported stolen.
Judge John Warner ordered a presentence investigation. He set English's sentencing for 10:30 a.m. Jan. 3, 2000.
The maximum penalty for the felony offense is 20 years in prison and a fine of not more than $50,000 plus a $20 prosecution fee, $5 surcharge, and $10 victim's fee.
The misdemeanor theft charge carries a maximum of six months in jail and a fine of up to $500. The fees are $15 prosecution fee, $5 surcharge and $10 victim's fee.
