LLOYD WINKENWEDER

Lloyd L. Winkenweder, 94, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Highland Cemetery in Havre, with the Rev. Kathy Young officiating.

Winkenweder was born April 15, 1905, in Bottineau, N.D., to Sam and Cora (Peters) Winkenweder. He owned and operated the Central Market Grocery Store in Havre for 40 years and later worked for Buttery Food as a butcher.

On May 17, 1931, he married Mearl Nystrom in Havre.

His hobbies included fishing, camping, and card playing. He was a former member of the Eagles and Elks fraternal organization.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Daum of Omaha, Neb.; sons, Lawrence Winkenweder of Fort Worth, Texas and Don Winkenweder of Spokane, Wash.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Havre Hill County Library.
