Time's running out for shut-ins wanting home delivery of the scrumptious turkey dinner with all the trimmings planned for the Eagles Club on Christmas Day.
The community Christmas Dinner is open to everyone in the surrounding area at no charge. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come -- "Just ring your Christmas smile!"
The sit-down dinner in the Eagles main dining hall will be served by a cadre of volunteers from noon to 3:30 p.m. The Eagles Club is located at the intersection of First Street and Second Avenue in downtown Havre. Diners are welcome to use either the street or the avenue entrance.
"This is what Christmas is all about," organizers Bob and Judy Sivertsen said in a news release Sunday. "Thanks to so many volunteers, we are able to ensure many a better Christmas."
For reservations for home deliveries, call the North Central Senior Citizens Center at 265-5464 or 265-5465 before 4 p.m. Thursday.
Havre Jaycees will deliver the take-out meals on Christmas morning.
Community Christmas Dinner donations are appreciated and can be sent to Bob Sivertsen at P.O. Box 2226, Havre, MT 59501. They can be dropped off the Eagles Club in Havre, too.
