CLEMENT CHIEF STICK SR.
Clement Ray Chief Stick, Sr., 47, died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at the Rocky Boy Clinic of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Rocky Boy with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Boy Cemetery. A two night vigil started last night and will be this evening at the St. Marys Catholic Church.
Chief Stick Sr. was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Fort Belknap, to Pat Chief Stick and Amy Chief Goes Out-Chief Stick. His family moved to Great Falls in 1955 where he attended schools. In 1975 worked for an Optical company in Denver, Colo. He later moved to Seattle. He married Dorthy St. Marks. They were later divorced.
He married Diane Charlie in Seattle.
In 1985, he returned to Rocky Boy where he was employed for Rocky Boy Utilities. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. He was an active member of the Native American Church in Rocky Boy. He participated in a caravan Trail of Broken Treaties to Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph, a sister, Ambrosia and two brothers, Virgil and Harvey.
Survivors include his parents, four children, Clement Jr. (Blue) of Minneapolis, Minn., Stony, Christopher and Selena Chief Stick all of Seattle; two brothers, Calvin Chief Stick of Box Elder, and Pat Chief Stick of Pablo; sisters, Gloria Chief Stick of Box Elder and Verlas (Minnie) Chief Stick of Missoula; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Stone Child College, Peggy Nagel Scholarship Fund.
