Jen Skoyen, a 1999 graduate of Chinook High School and daughter of Duane and Jody Skoyen, signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Golden Eagles at the College of Southern Idaho at Twin Falls.
Skoyen, having received a full-ride scholarship, chose Southern Idaho for their outstanding athletic and physical therapy programs.
Jen is one of the quickest and strongest post players Ive seen work under the basket. She also shows great intensity, leadership, outstanding footwork, aggressiveness and is a team player on the court, said head Golden Eagle coach Joel Bate.
At 6-2, Skoyen was recruited as one of the top centers in Montana. She averaged 14 points and nine rebounds a game. She was also voted first team all-conference both her junior and senior years.
Additional accolades include all-state honors during three years of varsity play and selection to play in the Treasure State All-Star Classic.
At Chinook, Skoyen was president of her class and held a 3.8 GPA. She was a member of the National Honor Society, student council and has held offices in the Chinook FFA.
At Twin Falls, she will coach at the Southern Idaho basketball camp.
