Officers investigated two complaints of credit card phone fraud called in by Havre residents shortly before 10 a.m. Friday.
The Havre residents said someone from Forum Credit Card Services at 1-888-707-9696 called and requested their credit card numbers and expiration dates. The Forum caller said the company would insure the victims cards from fraud.
The Havre residents said they called the number back and got an answering machine.
Officers checked with VISA, Master Card, and the Department of Commerce and learned that the company was a fraud.
