GLADYS LAFOUNTAINE
Gladys Ruth LaFountaine, 97, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, at a Havre care center of natural causes.
Memorial services will be held 4 p.m., Aug. 7, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Havre. Graveside services and internment will be held at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in College Place, Wash., at a later date.
LaFountaine was born June 20, 1902, at Wallowa, to Bertram and Minnie (Barton) Oliver. She attended Wallowa schools and later Walla Walla College.
On June 8, 1934, she married Leonard LaFountaine at College Place, Wash. The couple resided at College Place, Wash., until May of 1993, when they moved to Havre. She was a teacher for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard LaFountaine of Have; a daughter, Ann Lamberton of Havre; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
