BIG SANDY Birdeen Clifford Cliff Gullickson, 64, a resident of Big Sandy, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, of injuries sustained in a car accident that afternoon.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy with The Rev. Rich Jespersen officiating. Burial will follow at the Big Sandy Cemetery.
Gullickson was born June 19, 1935, in Havre, to Birdeen and Josephine (Rasmussen) Gullickson. He graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1953.
On Sept. 4, 1953, he married Doris Matthews of Big Sandy. He was employed for Pratt and Svenn from 1954 to 1956. He owned and operated Sandy Service Center from 1954 to 1956. He returned to Pratt and Svenn and was employed there until 1979 when the couple began farming west of Big Sandy.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Odd Fellows, Promise Keepers, Christ Lutheran Church and Church Council, as well as a former Fire Chief of the Big Sandy Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; daughters, Lynette Ereaux of Malta and Nancy Erickson of Havre; sons, Gary Gullickson of Big Sandy and Greg Gullickson of Missoula; sisters, Betty Svennungsen of Big Sandy and Gaynell Tempel of Great Falls; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Christ Lutheran Church or the Big Sandy Medical Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
