The Havre Youth Soccer Association formed teams and assigned schedules for the fall season at a meeting Monday night.
Games will begin Saturday, Aug. 28 at 9 a.m. at the Havre High School practice fields for 5-6-year-olds, 7-8-year-olds and 11-12-year-olds. The fields are located at 900 18th Street in Havre. Nine-10-year-olds will play at Rotary Park.
Debi Rhines, president of the group said that if a parent of child has not yet heard from a coach, then they can contact the person at the appropriate phone number as follows:
5-6-year-old Avis Chenoweth, 265-1384; 7-8-year-old Vickie Hilliard, 265-4096; 9-10-year-old Shannon Svedahl, 265-8906; 11-12-year-old Nan Miller, 265-4456; 13-18-year-old Debi Rhines, 265-2737.
The group also set the date for a players clinic and coaches review on Saturday, Aug. 21, at the south practice fields at the high school. Clinic hours are as follows:
5-6-year-olds, 9 a.m., size 3 ball; 7-8-year-olds, 10 a.m., size 3 ball; 9-10-year-olds, 11 a.m., size 4 ball; 11-12-year-olds, 12:30 p.m., size 4 ball; 13-18-year-olds, 1:30 p.m., size 5 ball.
Rhines asked that each person attending bring water and a ball. Balls will also be available for sale at the clinic, Rhines said. At the same time, a soccer equipment swap will take place. Equipment must be labeled with a name, phone number and price to be sold.
