The Hi-Line is rocking with powerhouse basketball clubs.
The Class A Havre Blue Ponies , 5-1, are ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press power poll.
The District 9-C Big Sandy Lady Pioneers (6-0) are ranked as the No. 1 Class C school in the state. They received seven first-place votes.
The District 10-C Chester Coyotes (6-0) are ranked No. 2 and tallied four first-place votes.
In the District 9-C, Big Sandy is in first place but it is not the only undefeated team.
The KG KouGars are No. 2 in the district with an overall record of 5-0.
Defending state Class C champion Box Elder is in third place with an overall record of 4-3.
Big Sandy defeated Box Elder 98-55 last weekend. Three Lady Pioneers tallied double figures, with Amy Silvan and Tiffanie Jamieson scoring 27 and 22 points, respectively.
The Lady Pioneers have posted six different players in double figures this season.
Big Sandy will travel to conference foe Rocky Boy (2-4) Friday. The Lady Pioneers will face conference rival Hays-Lodgepole (1-5) at Hays Saturday.
KG will play to non-conference teams when they meet Whitewater at home Thursday and travel to Chester Friday.
The 10-C Coyotes have posted eight different players in double figures thus far.
Michelle Van Dyke scored a season-high 22 points to lead the Coyotes. Teammate Jamie Graham has tallied double figures in five-of-six games this season.
