The Big Sandy Lady Pioneers, 10-0 in District 9-C and 14-0 overall, have three seniors and eight players who have already proven they can shoot in double figures at any given time.
The Pioneers have scored 105 points in a game this season. They downed Hays-Lodgepole 105-25 on Sept. 25.
In more than half of its games, Big Sandy has put more than four players in double digits.
They have a perfect record after 14 straight games this season.
Head coach Roy Lackner has an overall record of 368-48 during 16 years of coaching.
Sophomore Amy Silvan nailed four 3-pointers in the Lady Pioneers 88-28 victory over Box Elder last weekend. Silvan poured in 27 points, tying her season-high total that she notched last time the two teams met on Sept. 17.
Junior Kristi Upham has been a powerhouse at 5-foot-10.
Junior Celeste Darlington, senior Sasha Ritter, sophomore Kathryn Bitz, senior Tiffanie Jamieson, junior Eryn Darlington and junior Jillian Johnsrud can all tally the big buckets.
Jamieson and Ritter can each nail the trey. Jamieson marked two 3-pointers against Box Elder.
All teams have this weekend off, and the Pioneers resume Sept. 27 against Rocky Boy in conference play.
When the two met on Sept. 24, Silvan, Bitz and Eryn Darlington tallied double figures to lead the Lady Pioneers in a 76-30 win over the Morning Stars.
KG (9-2, 11-3) is No. 2 in the district.
Defending state champion Box Elder (6-5, 8-7) is the only other team with a winning record and stands No. 3 in the seeding.
