MALTA Gabriel Wayne Gabe Brown, 17, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, north of Malta in an automobile accident.
Wake will start Friday at Al and Retha Chandler family home in Malta. Vigil services were held Sunday at St. Marys Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was held Monday at St. Marys Catholic Church with cremation to follow at the Hi-Line Crematory.
Brown was born Jan. 17, 1982, at Fort Belknap, to James L. Brown and Kitty Hopkins. He was raised in Malta and was a junior at Malta High School. He enjoyed football and basketball and was in the Big Sky Games in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Brown.
Survivors include his father, James L. Brown of Malta; his mother and stepfather, Kitty and Willy Jim Denny of Rocky Boy; a sister, Nikita Denny; a brother, Caleb Denny of Rocky Boy; maternal grandparents, Al and Retha Chandler of Malta and Floyd and Yvonne Hopkins of Glasgow; and paternal grandmother, Louise Brown of Malta.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
