The MSU-Northern Lights mens basketball team continues its preseason run at home against Regina Friday and Saturday.
The Lights (2-0) opened at home last weekend with two big wins over the University of Calgary.
Keith Carothers led the Lights Friday with 29 points en route to a 93-58 win. Joining Carothers in double figures was Michael Claxton with 16, Chad Meyer with 13 and Bruce Stacy with 10 points.
Powell Becker had a team-high six rebounds to lead the Lights, while Russell Keller snagged five in the matchup.
Saturday, Stacy led the Lights with 22 points, including six 3-pointers. Claxton tallied 15 points, Mel Stubblefield and Carothers notched 11, and Dustin Endsley had 21 in the effort. The Lights won the game, 108-78.
The small Lights team collected half the rebounds of Calgary, who had 50 in the game.
Free throw shooting was a strength for the Lights, who hit 21-of-25 form the stripe.
From the 3-point line, the Lights cast 33 attempts, connecting on 13 in the contest, shooting almost 40 percent from the arc.
The games are slated to begin at 9 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively at the Northern gym.
