IRENE (HALL) GLOYNE
Irene Elizabeth (Hall) Gloyne, 77, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, in Great Falls.
Funeral services were held today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Falls.
Gloyne was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Vermilion, Alberta, Canada, to William and Margaret Hall.
In 1943, she worked at the shipyards in Victoria, B.C., as a welder during the war. She came to Harlem, where she joined her brother, Knute Kulbeck. She enjoyed cooking for his dairy farm.
In 1949, she married Wesley G. Gloyne. The couple farmed before moving to Havre in 1956, where she ran a rooming house for seven years. The moved to Lewistown in 1963. She served as a clerk for the Maiden School District for 10 years, and later as a nurse's aide at Valle Vista Manor for four years. She moved to Great Falls in 1977, where she worked at County Hospital Rest Home. She retired in 1982, and then became a respite care giver for 12 years.
She enjoyed swimming exercises and bingo. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Murial Hall Banks and Grace Scarfe, and a brother, Stan Hall.
Survivors include sons, Lloyd Gloyne of Grand Island, Neb., Rodney Gloyne of Lewistown, Stanley Gloyne of Stockett; a daughter, Margaret Meyers of Athabasca, Alberta, Canada; brothers, Knute Kulbeck of Harlem, Harold Hall of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Gloyne of Goodview, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Peace Hospice of Great Falls or Gideons Bible Society.
