Students Promoting Culture will be holding a special Christmas round dance Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Stone Child College gymnasium.

Students Promoting Culture is a new organization of students sanctioned by the college's student government, said Mary Top Sky, advisor for the Indian Club at the college. "It is part of a continuing effort on behalf of the students to create an awareness and to achieve a balance between education advanced mentoring, and cultural preservation."

The dance is open to anybody and there is no charge.

Food and beverages will also be available at the event.

The club will also be drug and alcohol free, Top Sky said.

"The dance will give young people and the elderly alike something to do during the Christmas break that is drug and alcohol free," Top Sky said.

Top Sky said the new organization expects to hold monthly cultural activities for the students, staff, and the entire community.
