JACK RYAN

VERADALE, Wash. -- Jack T. Ryan, 63, of Veradale, Wash., died Dec. 17, 1999, of cancer.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Ryan was born Nov. 3, 1936 in Havre to John and Helen Ryan. He attended St. Jude's Elementary and Havre Central High schools. He joined the Air Force and returned to Havre upon his discharge. He worked for the Montana Highway Department and tended bar.

In 1961, Ryan went to work for Watkins Beer Distributing Co., transferring with the company over the years to Missoula, Polson and Spokane, Wash.

When Watkins sold to B&B Distributors, Ryan stayed with the new owners as inventory programmer until illness from cancer forced his retirement in 1997.

Ryan had a great love for all his pets and all animals, enjoyed tending to his beautiful yard, and was a dedicated sports fan. He always looked forward to his many trips back to the Havre area to visit relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union and a 35-year member of the Elks Lodge.

Ryan is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bridget; sister-in-law Margaret Swisher of Havre; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Montana, California and Missouri.

Ryan was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
