Hed already done his time and got nailed for different crimes

Officers bagged two suspects on unrelated incidents when they responded to a complaint that a thief returned to the scene of his crime early Friday morning.

A clerk at an east Havre store called police shortly after 1 a.m. Friday to say that the suspects who stole beer from the store Wednesday night were back in the store.

Officers responded and gave chase but lost sight of the suspect, who fled on foot.

Officers then stopped a motorist who was trying to leave the store and discovered that he was wanted for escape from another state. The 16-year-old boy was arrested and jailed.

A short time later, officers responded to a complaint that someone was hiding in a backyard in the 1000 block of Fourth Street. Deputies assisting in the case found the suspect and gave chase when he again fled on foot. The 18-year-old man was caught and jailed on an MIP charge and for obstructing officers.

The clerk said the 18-year-old was one of four men who stole beer from the store shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday. Officers explained that the man was one of two suspects who were caught that night and that he had already been released from jail.

Further investigation continues.
