Krejci Obituary

IDA KREJCI

Ida (Haugen) Krejci, 81, a long time Havre resident, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, at her residence of natural causes.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Holland & Bonine. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Havre with the Rev. Steve Flatau officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Krejci was born April 19, 1918, in Mandan, N.D., to Anton and Nikoline (Ingerbrigtsen) Haugen. She was raised on the family farm in N.D., until 1936, when she moved to Montana and worked on a ranch at Chester for a summer before moving to Havre.

On April 3, 1937, she married Joe Krejci. The couple worked in Cut Bank and Havre until 1948, when they bought a ranch southeast of Havre. The couple retired in 1964. They moved to Billings for five years where they showed cutting horses. In 1978, they moved back to Havre. He died in 1993. She returned to school and received her G.E.D. at the age of 78.

She enjoyed traveling by car, crocheting, playing guitar and organ, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church where she was an active member of WMs (Womens Ministries).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 12 siblings and three half-brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Barger; brothers, Clifford Haugen of Havre and Andy Haugen of Fort Benton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
