Chinook coach Mike Seymour said it was a beautiful day even though it was supposed to rain. Seymour said it was a great turnout with 76 golfers competing in the Chinook meet.
The Sugarbeeters go to the state golf tournament next week in Frenchtown and Saint Regis. Seymour said they are both very tight courses so this week Chinook will be working on its iron play.
It is important we are hitting ball straight and using good course management, Seymour said.
The five player Seymour will be taking to state will be Paugh, Oehmcke, Murray, Hansen and Doney with a slight possibility that Kellam could move in to one of the spots.
Overall for the season Seymour said they have improved through out the year and that is something a team looks for thorough the year.
We are not setting a goal of winning a state title but we have some individuals who can play respectively, Seymour said.
