CHINOOK The Chinook netters took on Big Sandy earlier in the week and then traveled to Fairfield for the Class B-C meet over the weekend.

Scores and stats were not made available from the meet with Big Sandy.

In Great Falls it was Kelley taking fourth place in the No. 1 bracket as she fell 6-1, 6-1 to Virginia Johnson of Boulder. Harbolt took fourth place in the No. 2 bracket as she fell to Alisha MacGinnis of Fort Benton 6-0, 6-0. Mandy Harbolt won one match and lost two, Bonnie Hall also won one match and lost two. Beth Stucker lost all three matches.

Kelsie Whitney and Cassie Jergeson played as a doubles team and lost in a tie break.

The Sugarbeeters were missing some athletes this weekend due to music festival.

Chinook coach Brent Schellin said right now he is trying to finalize the roster that he will take to divisionals. He said he will be taking five singles players and five doubles teams.

The Beeters come to Havre this weekend for the divisional tennis meet with Big Sandy, Chester and Fort Benton.

Schellin added that he would like to see two doubles teams, Kelley and possibly one other singles player advance out of the divisional tournament and on to state.
