Both the 400 relay and 1600 relay qualified for the boys team. In the 400, the Beeters took fifth with a time of 49.41 and finished fourth in the 1600 with a 3:41.50.
Chinook coach Don Olsen said that most of the athletes had good days against an outstanding field in 2B. Olsen said Acra ran very well in 1600 and 3200 and others also ran well. Olsen also said that Roseberry turned in a great race in the 800.
As far as divisionals, Olsen said the athletes are looking forward to the meet. The relay teams are right on the bubble with their times, but should be competitive with the 1B teams.
It will be a good meet, with some real dog fights, Olsen said.
The divisional track meet will take place in Glasgow Saturday, May 22. The Beeters are familiar with the track there and that will not hurt them at all.
