Local law enforcement personnel caught a Havre man in the act of burglarizing a pharmacy during a three-day stakeout last week.
Kevin Mahle, 33, was arrested on July 19 and jailed on two counts of felony burglary, according to a news release issued by personnel with the Tri-Agency Task Force. Also arrested later on drug charges was Peggy Silva, 31, of Havre.
Officers with the Havre Police Department and the Task Force reportedly put the drug store under surveillance from July 17-19 because of previous burglaries.
Task Force officers then executed a search warrant on Mahles residence in the 600 block of West 13th Street and found evidence of past burglaries. They also found drug paraphernalia.
Silva was arrested as a result of the drug evidence found during the search. She was jailed on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mahle eventually was released on $20,000 bond. Silva was released on $470 bond.
