CLARA T. CECRLE

BIG SANDY Clara T. Cecrle, 79, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at a Big Sandy care center of natural causes.

Prayer Vigil services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Margaret Marys Catholic Church in Big Sandy. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Margaret Marys Catholic Church with Father Joe Diekhans officiating. Burial will follow at the Big Sandy Cemetery.

Cecrle was born March 31, 1920, at Fort Benton to Charles and Mary (Kolar) Tordik. She attended the Illiad Country School for eight years and Big Sandy High School for two years. She was employed at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Havre and was also the family cook at the McNamara Ranch at Big Sandy.

On March 14, 1942, she married Henry Cecrle at Billings. The couple farmed southeast of Big Sandy, spending winters in Great Falls. The couple retired in 1989.

She enjoyed gardening, taking care of bum lambs, visiting with family, attending Senior Citizens, reading, playing pinochle and baking. She was a member of the Eagles, Big Sandy Senior Citizens Center, Great Falls Lady of Lourdes Altar Society, St. Margaret Marys Altar Society, and a member of St. Margaret Marys Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, her parents and a sister, Agnes Magda.

Survivors include a daughter, Marianne Brewer of Big Sandy; sons, Robert Cecrle of Great Falls and Richard Cecrle of Big Sandy; sisters, Libby Nottingham of Fort Benton and Mamie Belschner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Charles Tordik of Big Sandy; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
